“Any item concerning your vehicle’s general appearance that is not due to a defect in material or workmanship. Cosmetic flaws or minor damage to the body, paint, or other items may occur during manufacture or shipping of your vehicle. If you find any uncorrected flaws or damage on your new vehicle, notify the dealer as soon as possible after delivery.”

General Exclusions:

• We will not pay for damage caused by any of the following:
  • Salt
  • Tree sap, bird droppings

“The longer that deposits remain on the vehicle the more the surface may be damaged. High temperatures such as those cause by sunlight increase the damaging effect.

Before washing, rinse off heavy deposits with plenty of water.
Stubborn deposits such as bird droppings or tree sap are best removed with plenty of water and a microfiber cloth.
Also, wash the underside of your vehicle once road salt stops being used for the season.”
